Decorative Edges

The two common edges are a "chamfer" and a "roundover." We don't charge extra for this detailing. If you want it, we will apply it to your frame. Typically, the larger timbers get detailed with a bigger chamfer or roundover bit compared to the smaller timber. This keeps the proportions and symmetry pleasing to your eyes.

The "softened edge" is a detail which only takes the sharpness of the corner away. We use a very small roundover bit to accomplish this. The timber still appear rectangular or boxy but the edge is dulled.
